Jaya Reed
Jaya has a lifelong love of creative arts and has spent many years exploring and practising her craft.
She has recently spent 5 years at Suffolk College studying a wide range of artistic applications. She then went on to gain an honours degree in graphic design. She has won several prizes for her work, the most recent presented at the Design Centre in London Jaya visited India in 1974 and fell in love with the spirituality and numinosity of the holy places. The timeless and transcendent beauty and power of the ancient culture is reflected in her work. Having lived in a spiritual community for a large part of her life she feels her art to be a part of her spiritual
journey.
Recent paintings, such as the Yantra series are based on ancient imagery and sacred geometry. They are created with love to bring harmony and blessings into being. She lives and works in her studio in Glastonbury and gains much inspiration from the magic and spirituality of the area.
